Have a passion for Marketing and Communication? Our Integrated Marketing Communication intern will assist with the development of the communications strategy for existing theme park marquee events including Halloween Horror Nights, Mardi Gras, Rock the Universe, Summer Concert Series and Holiday’s events.
Integrated Marketing Communication Interns at Universal Orlando are responsible for:
- Implementing the communications strategy and tactics that create a seamless campaign among all communications avenues within the organization.
- Completing significant project management in workamajig and tracking jobs from opening to campaign completion.
- Acting as liaison between Universal Orlando and some of the entertainment that supports our events.
- Assisting in the development of the strategic communication briefing documents to guide internal resources in the development of work product.
- Setting up key meetings, preparing presentations, opening up jobs in workamajig and more.
- Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Orlando policies, procedures, training and Team Member involvement activities.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
To perform the role of an Integrated Marketing Communication Intern successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Consistent attendance and punctuality is a job requirement
- Must be actively enrolled for the Fall 2014 semester as a college Junior, Senior, or seeking Graduate Degree
- Must be pursuing a degree in Marketing, Advertising, Sales, Public Relations or Business
- Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA required
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite
- Must be willing to work up to 20-30 hours per week from August 2014 thru December 2014
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task and organize to meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Have an understanding of marketing principles
- Strong written and oral communication skills
