Systems Support Analyst
Whelan Security is looking for an experienced and energetic professional to oversee systems support for an internationally known, Austin-based client!
In this position, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of commercial intrusion detection systems, analog and IP-based CCTV systems, network video management software, access control systems, intercoms, data cabling and other related devices and equipment. This position will also assist inside technicians and client management with specific projects as needed including software training and VMS client installation.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Hands-on electronics and basic wiring and circuitry; ability to operate a volt/ohm meter
- Inventory: maintaining accurate inventory and equipment for installations, service calls or trouble tickets
- Equipment installation: mounting, wiring, and tuning of security related products
- Equipment service: troubleshooting, refurbishing and resolving issues with low voltage equipment
- Assist with order fulfillment and other general warehouse work
- Basic understanding of computer network architecture and IP addressing
- Basic electronics, audio and/or video knowledge is desirable
Qualifications
Successful candidates should be 21 years of age or older, legally authorized to work in the United States, and possess at least a high school education or equivalent (GED). A college degree (technical, associates or greater) in a related field is preferred although equivalent experience will be considered. Candidates must demonstrate a stable work history and pass an extensive background screening which includes, but is not limited to, criminal background checks (local, state, and federal), drug test, aptitude tests, skills assessments, interviews, past employment verification, and a personality profile (behavioral assessment).
