REM River Bluffs is hiring direct support professionals to support parents with disabilities with hourly services in their homes. Position includes every other weekend and some evenings.


Description

REM River Bluffs offers in home services to parents with disabilities who are residents of Dakota and Scott County. Direct Support Professionals provide support to individuals served in a wide variety of areas based on their individual needs. This may include transportation to appointments, assistance with shopping and identifying nutritional foods or and/or resourcing additional community classes and supports for those individuals. We are looking for self-motivated individuals who have the experience and ability to work independently yet communicate with supervisors when needed. Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes every other weekend. Candidates must have their own vehicle, a clean driving record and experience working with adults with disabilities.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Car registration and vehicle insurance if providing transportation for individuals receiving services
  • Six months of experience in human services preferred
  • Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks
