The Edgeworth Club is a private social racket club in Sewickley. Established in 1893, The Edgeworth Club has deep roots in the community. We have a wide variety of on-site athletic amenities including a 30 meter swimming pool, wade entry baby pool, 5 tennis courts, 4 paddle tennis courts, 2 squash courts, a 6 lane duck pin bowling alley and a state of the art fitness center. We also have 8 overnight stay rooms.

We host many social parties, banquets, weddings and receptions as well as other various celebrations throughout the year in our unique and exclusive facilities. Additionally, we offer top notch a la carte lunch and dinner service to our members and their guests.

POSITIONS AVAILABLE: WE ARE LOOKING FOR HOST/HOSTESS AND DISHWASHERS.

----DISHWASHERS----
Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwashers or by hand.
Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.
Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.
Clean or prepare various foods for cooking or serving.
Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor.
Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars.
Sweep or scrub floors.
Clean garbage cans with water or steam.
Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks.
Receive and store supplies.
Load or unload trucks that deliver or pick up food or supplies.

----HOST/HOTESS----
- Warmly and graciously greets all guests upon arrival.
- When immediate seating is limited, records guest names and number of
people in party.
-ƒ Provide guests with estimated waiting time, always maintaining a
professional, courteous attitude when confronted with hostile, impatient or
irate guests.
- Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible.
-ƒ Seat guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in
service stations.
-ƒ Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server's
name. Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness.
ƒ- Relay messages to servers and bus-persons as needed.
-ƒ Clean menus of food and stains.
-ƒ Perform other duties as assigned by the manager on duty.
-ƒ Thanks members and guests as they leave and invite them to return.
-Relay guest comments or suggestions to the manager on duty.

----EXPERIENCE SERVICE STAFF/BANQUETS----
-Prepares the tables, laying out napkins and utensils, making sure the condiments are
refilled, performing all other preparation tasks.
-Staying updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items...etc.
-Handle the table bookings, direct customers to their tables, presenting menus, suggesting dishes, assisting in drink selection, informing customers about food preparation details, communicating specific customer needs to the cooks.
-Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses.
-Prepare mixed drinks for service to your customers table.
-Properly open and pour wine at the tableside.
-Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor.
-Filling in for absent staff as needed.
-Assisting with special events as needed.
-Greet all club members and guests warmly with an appropriate greeting.
-Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
-Understands and can communicate products and services available at the resort.
-Should have some familiarity with basic cooking terms and skills.
