About this job
Our client in the NE Portland area is currently looking for several experienced trailer mechanics.
They will be troubleshooting and repairing the electrical and brake systems for customer trucks and trailers
Other duties include patching skins, roofs, decks, etc.
Must be very strong in both electrical and brake systems on trailers
Diagnose, test, troubleshoot, and repair problems on trailers.
Be able to determine if the trailer is safe for transit (according to the Federal Highway Inspection codes).
Need to write detailed reports daily for job orders, estimates, billable hours, parts orders, etc.
Need to have proficient knowledge with working with all types of air tools, hand wrenches, an o-meter, and brake tools.
Welding experience is required as well.
