The Business Analyst is responsible for designing/devleoping, programming, maintaining and publishing operational reports. Provides operational analysis utilized for decision making. May make recommendations based on the analysis and provide explanations for reporting results as needed. May be done for internal operational purposes as well for customers.

Job Responsibilities Include:
* Assesses and interprets customer needs and requirements
* Indentifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems
* Solves moderately complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses
* Works with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks
* Translates concepts into practice
* Provides explanations and information to others on difficult issues
* Coaches, provides feedback, and guides others

Regular Tasks Include:
* Schedule / meet with internal/external customers in order to gather report requirements and data analysis needs
* Complete functional requirement forms and or documents to define project parameters, build report requirements, and/or identify potential solutions
* Identify appropriate data sources, report metrics, and tools for providing required information according to clients' requests
* Communicate with third-party vendors in order to gather and/or deliver information needed to complete reports
* Identify relevant stakeholders needed to help define report requiremetns and resolve issues as needed
* Provide information and/or assistance to internal team members to support requirements gathering and planning efforts
* Define and/or ensure that report parameters are established consistent with data governance requirements
* Identify or create relevant databases needed to source appropriate data
* Demonstrate understanding of relevant software and databases
* Review and/or identify appropriate report format to use based on customers' needs
* Test and review completed reports and associated metrics used in order to ensure accurracy and quality
* Ensure customers have appropriate access to reports
* Test and verify the accuracy of incoming or received data and/or coding prio to generating aotmated reports
* Develop tests and/or software modules needed to assess the accuracy of data or coding used for report generation
* Document report database processes and procedures in order to ensure business continuity
* Communicate with internal or external customers concerning the status of their report requests
* Conduct training with internal and/or external customers on various reporting activities
* Present/explain and interpret reports and data to internal or external customers
* Demonstrate knowledge or operations, goals, and policies and procedures of internal business partners in order to provide effective support to internal or external customers
