Furniture Technician - Hiring Event

HIRING FURNITURE TECHNICIANS NOW!

SUMMARY:

Deluxing of all outbound furniture pieces prior to delivery to ensure no damages are present and all parts are included.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Inspect damages and choose the appropriate method of repair for case goods, leather, fabric, and upholstery.
• Repair, service and inspect all merchandise sold and delivered by Williams-Sonoma, Inc. prior to delivery.
• Repair of damages found using touch-up pens, burn-ins, and paint on wood products, and basic upholstery leather repair.
• Unload and load merchandise on trucks as needed.
• Attention to detail is a must.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent and 1 year experience in distribution, manufacturing or retail environment
• Ability to multitask, and be extremely detailed on all repairs.
• Ability to assemble and disassemble furniture items while working independently.
• Skilled in wood and upholstered furniture repair; 3 years experience in furniture industry. 
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to work under pressure, and be a fast learner.
• Excellent attendance and willingness to be part of a team – performing whatever duties are necessary.
• Job requires continuous physical exertion – walking/bending/lifting/standing must be able to lift 65lbs minimum.
