About this job
We are currently hiring qualified mechanical technicians to assemble highly complex machines for the world's leading manufacturer of canning machinery. Come join a great team at a clean, safety-oriented, climate controlled production facility!
Duties include:
-Work on assemblies/projects on one or more product lines
-Assembling shafts, drive shafts, bearings, gear assemblies, etc
-Building mechanical sub-assemblies that are incorporated into the finished product
-Reading measuring equipment to properly verify part or assembly quality
-Performing shakedowns, teardowns, and punch list items for machines
-Performing some machine set-ups
-Other duties as assigned
This is a contract-to-hire position with the opportunity for a lot of overtime. Wage is $17-20/hr DOE, but with overtime, can be much higher.
Required skills:
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Ability to work in a team environment
-Mechanical aptitude and experience; successful skill sets include, but are not limited to:
Automotive Mechanic
Diesel Mechanic
Helicopter Mechanic
Industrial Mechanic/Technician
Oilfield Mechanic
