Resource Manager - Environmental Engineer - Full-time / Part-time

JOB DESCRIPTION: You will be responsible for identifying, characterizing, removing, recycling, disposing of waste that is generated at a plant. You will work with the Plant Environmental Engineer to minimize their waste, find lower cost of disposal, characterize waste, label drums with waste in them for shipment, and ship the waste to the appropriate disposal site. You will be working with vendors to get the best rates for disposal of the waste.

50% of their time will be in the plant identifying waste

20% of their time will be categorizing waste for shipment

20% finding vendors and negotiating rates

10% labeling drums and creating manifest for shipment

WORK ENVIRONMENT: You will be working in an office environment within a plant. Dress will be business casual.

QUALIFICATIONS:

MUST HAVES -

Must have at least 1 year of experience with Hazardous waste

Must be able to characterize waste

Must have a BS in a science-related field

PREFERRED -

CHMM is HIGHLY preferred

Preferred to have RCRA and 40/hr Hazwoper certifications, but it is not necessary

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS: You will be evaluated based on how well they work with the client and getting tasks accomplished within a deadline.
