POSITION SUMMARY:

The Daytime Office Staff plays a vital role within the company as they are often the first point of contact for our venue. The Office staff will answer a multi-line telephone promptly and courtesy and the primary responsibility is to book tables and answer all guests’ inquiries while maintaining a good image for the company.

 

GUEST SERVICE REQUIREMENTS:

- Informs Supervisors of any irregularities, guest complaints or other disputes, which cannot be readily resolved

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

GUEST SERVICE/COMMUNICATION

- Answers all incoming telephone calls within three (3) rings, professionally and promptly

- Use an effective approach to handle special telephone tasks like call transfers, taking messages, holds, interruptions and unintentional disconnections

- Keep records and return guest voicemails daily

- Respond to email inquiries

- Forward all private events and sales inquiries to the GM

- Input all guest lists requests in the proper software

- Forward email inquiries to the designated people/departments

- Knowledgeable of entire office functions and departments

- Communicate with bar manager for any reservations with special guest requests

- Take complete contact information for guest complaints and send to GM

- Direct guests check disputes to Front Office Manager and take complete contact information

- Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a courteous and polite manner

- Greet all guests promptly, with a friendly and upbeat attitude

- Anticipate guest needs

- Responds to guest concerns/complaints regarding service or beverage and corrects errors or resolves complaints with a positive attitude

- Adhere to all Park Avenue’s Standard Operating Procedures

- Maintain all Park Avenue’s Sequence of Service Standards

- Provide information to guests regarding our venue, menu, and pricing

- Recognize and cultivate regular guests and repeat business

- Report any incidents of theft, vandalism, or violations

- Ability to communicate in English with guests and co-workers

- Complete Sales & Customer service training

- Provide customers with information and directions

 

RESPONSIBLE ALCOHOL MANGEMENT

- Recognize and acknowledge when guests are becoming intoxicated and/or are intoxicated

- Monitor potentially intoxicated and/or disruptive guests and promptly bring to a Manager’s attention

- Comply with all safety and health procedures as well as Company and/or department policies/procedures

- Comply with all state liquor laws

 

RESPONSIBILITIES/TEAMWORK/DEPARTMENT

- Provide service to all guests in a timely manner

- Constantly be up to date with all upcoming events and promotions

- Assist all other team members as needed

- Create and maintain a sense of urgency

- Performs other job related duties as assigned

- Inform management of any complaint, comments or incidents

- Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering Park Avenue standards to further the overall theme of the venue

- Ability to create and maintain service rapport through the Park Avenue Corporate philosophy

 

MARKETING RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS ARE AS FOLLOWS

- Must have a Facebook page, Twitter Account, and Instagram which identifies the venue the employee works at (ex: John/Jane Doe at Park Avenue)

- Must have four (4) tweets and IG posts per week in relation to the venue

- Must post updated event information on a weekly basis on Facebook page

 

Requirements

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:

- High School Diploma required or equivalent

- 18+ years of age

- 1+ years of customer service and multi-lined telephone experience preferred but not required

- Valid Drivers License

- Proof of eligibility to work in the United Stated

- Possession of/or ability to possess a valid TABC certificate

WORKING KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

- Nightclub, bar, lounge, restaurant operations

- Proficient in Windows Office, Microsoft Office, Gmail

- Basic Math Skills

- Liquor, beer, wine, and cocktail brand names

- Opening and closing duties

- Proper lifting techniques

- Guest relations

- Safe alcohol service

- Sanitation and safety

- Work indoors and/or outdoors, exposed to hot and/or cold surfaces, steam, and wet floors

- Must be able to twist, tow (push or pull), reach, bend, climb, and carry as necessary

- Must be able to carry and lift up to 50 lbs

- Work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds and smoke, the severity of which depends upon guest volume
