POSITION SUMMARY:

The Security Manager will share the responsibility of overseeing the venue management and will oversee one or multiple departments within the venue. Management includes staff management, reporting, goals, inter-office communication, and upholding company policies and procedures at all times. Management develops and motivates staff to attain proper standards of performance, answers patrons’ complaints, resolves problems, and inspects venue areas, inside and outside grounds for cleanliness and appearance.

 

GUEST SERVICE REQUIREMENTS:

- Comply with all safety and health department procedures as well as Company and/or departmental policies/procedures

- Informs and turn in written reports nightly to GM of any irregularities, guest complaints, injuries, or other disputes that transpired during the night

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

 

GUEST SERVICE/COMMUNICATION

- Continually strive to develop your staff and departments

- Assists with the recruitment and training of staff (train, develop, test, and coach staff accordingly)

- Create departmental goals

- Set work load expectations accurately and successfully

- Build and promote teamwork through proactive interaction

- Exhibit excellent follow up skills

- Utilize effective time management skills

- Accommodates and anticipated guests needs and staff, as well as staffing needs and ensure optimum customer service

- Ensure all service standards meet Park Avenue guidelines

- Ensure that all private events and functions are properly executed

- Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and recognition procedures in accordance with Park Avenue policies and procedures

- Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports, schedules, in an organized and timely manner

- Ensure all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following Park Avenue preventative maintenance standards

- Ensure that all products are received in correct unit counts and condition, and deliveries are performs in accordance with Park Avenue policies and procedures

- Assists GM with conflict resolution, corrective actions, and/or terminations

- Oversee and ensure that employee performance appraisals are completed in a timely manner

- Schedule labor as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring all positions are staffed when and as needed

- Ensure nightly and/or weekly, opening and closing side duties are followed

- Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations, including opening and closing duties

- Provides administrative support

- Achieve company objectives in service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment

- Adhere to all Park Avenue’s Standard Operating Procedures

- Maintain all Park Avenue’s Sequence of Service Standards

- Turns in written report any incidents of theft, vandalism, or violations

 

RESPONSIBLE ALCOHOL MANGEMENT

- Recognize and acknowledge when guests are becoming intoxicated and/or are intoxicated

- Monitor potentially intoxicated and/or disruptive guests and promptly bring to security and a Manager’s attention

- Comply with all company alcohol awareness and safety policies/procedures

- Comply with all state liquor laws

- Work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds and smoke, the severity of which depends upon guest volume

RESPONSIBILITIES/TEAMWORK/DEPARTMENT

- Oversees all security

- Coordinates with Valet, traffic, and facilities departments to ensure venue is running efficiently every night

- Conducts weekly inventory of Radios, Fire Extinguishers, Barricades, Stanchions, Binoculars, flashlights, and metal detector wands

- Maintains Fire Alarm System, Fire Exits, and Building Evacuation Plan & Required Signage is Posted

- Maintains first and last impression on guests and guest experience

- Inspection and Upkeep of Perimeter of Venue

- Responsible for creating department schedules

- Turns in all inventories to GM on last night of work week

- Maintains and Organize all storage of Security Equipment

- Conducts nightly Pre-Shift meeting

- Create and maintain a sense of urgency

- Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering Park Avenue standards to further the overall theme of the venue

- Ability to create and maintain service rapport through the Park Avenue Corporate philosophy

 

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:

- High School Diploma required or equivalent

- 21+ years of age

- Proof of eligibility to work in the United Stated

- 2-4 years Hospitality experience preferred

- Possession of/or ability to possess a valid TABC certificate, First Aid/CPR certification, Food Handlers Card,

- A minimum of level II Security Certified

WORKING KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

- Proficient in Windows office, Focus POS system

- Purchasing, receiving, inventories, and cost control

- Budgeting, cost of sales, P&L statements, and basic accounting/payroll reporting

SKILLS/ABILITY TO:

- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment with patience, tact, and diplomacy

- Strong problem solving skills

- Ability to communicate effectively and assertively in the English language
