Employees in this function includes those responsible for initial Triage of Members, administrative Intake of Members and/or or managing the Admission/Discharge information post-notification, working with hospitals and the Clinical team. Includes managing Incoming calls, managing requests for services from Providers/Members, providing information on available Network services, and transferring Members, as appropriate, to Clinical staff. Manages the Referrals process, processes Incoming and Outgoing referrals, and Prior Authorizations. This function includes intake and notifications.  

Primary Responsibilities: 
  • Administrative Intake of Members and/or managing the Admission/Discharge information post-notification.
  • Working with Providers and the Clinical team, including managing Incoming calls, managing requests for services from Providers/Members, and providing information on available Network services.
  • Transferring Members, as appropriate, to Clinical staff. 
  • Manage the Referrals process, processing Incoming and Outgoing referrals and Prior Authorizations, including intake and notification.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • 1+ year of Customer Service experience
  • 6+ months of experience in an Office environment using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform the job duties.
  •  Ability to maintain Confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA Requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of Medical - Behavioral Health Claims.
  • Bilingual fluency with English and Spanish.
