Direct Support Professional
REM Hennepin is seeking both part-time and full-time Direct Support Professionals, starting at either 11.25 or 12.25 an hour based on services provided, throughout Hennepin County including Minneapolis and surrounding suburbs. We provide the structure and support for our employees to grow within a role by building relationships, expanding their influence and impact and making significant contributions in the lives of the individuals receiving our services.
Description
By joining our team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will provide assistance to individuals with disabilities in a community-based setting. Additional responsibilities may be providing assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation and planning; medication administration; and personal care. DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings in the community or providing transportation to work or other activities. In addition, DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.
QualificationsRequirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks
- Previous experience is not necessary
