Job Summary

The Warehouse Operations Material Handler is responsible for moving material to and from the processors as needed.

Job Qualifications

  1. Forklift experience required.
  2. High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  3. Previous warehouse experience preferred.
  4. Good organizational skills preferred.
  5. Possess the ability to communicate effectively both in oral and written communications.
  6. Quality on number/alpha equivalency test must meet overall standard of 95%.
  7. Valid driver's license required.
  8. Capable of lifting up to 51 pounds.
  9. Must have capability of being on or off feet all day: standing or walking or sitting or driving, if necessary.
  10. Frequent bending squatting, lifting and reaching may be necessary.
  11. Ability to adapt/tolerate varying weather conditions may be necessary. Some outside work may be required.
  12. Must be able to work overtime when needed.
  13. Some computer knowledge preferred.
  14. Frequent climbing.
  15. Able to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
Job Responsibilities

  1. Move material as necessary as directed by Supervisor or Lead Person.
  2. Assist processors when needed.
  3. Visually check processed skids for fullness.
  4. Load/unload trucks as required.
  5. Report the supply status of material (i.e. Skids, Inside Crates, Boxes) to Processing Supervisor.
  6. Be prepared to work in unheated warehouse or outside in varied weather conditions.
  7. Work within the guidelines of established department Work Instructions.
  8. Assist in making recommendations for improving efficiency and/or the effectiveness of work instructions that would benefit the company and its employees.
  9. Adhere to all rules and regulations as outlined in the Vintage Parts, Inc. Employee Handbook.
  10. Assist in training new employees if necessary.
  11. Maintain cleanliness in all work areas.
  12. Attend departmental meetings when required.
  13. Fill out Daily Job Cards.
  14. Work in other areas as assigned by Supervisor.
