The Time Warner Cable Corporate office currently seeks a/an Sr. tools Engineer for our Cloud Operations Department. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.


Position Summary
The successful candidate is expected to develop and maintain integration of Cloud Infrastructure with OSS platforms (Netcool, Splunk, Remedy, ESD etc.) This person is also expected to interface with the NOC organization to ensure appropriate visibility of the cloud infrastructure is provided to the surveillance and dispatch teams. In addition, they will be called upon to assist with the development of day-to-day operational utilities for the Cloud Operations organization.


Essential Job Functions:
Primary job responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following tasks. Other duties may be assigned depending on changes in business and/or operational needs:


- Develop, deploy and maintain solutions and utilities integrating TWC ' s cloud infrastructure platforms to TWC NOC facing OSS platforms

- Develop and maintain a short-term tactical strategic tools for cloud infrastructure teams (working closely with Engineering teams in the organization)

- Work closely with Cloud Engineering teams, Cloud operations and Business Operations teams to accomplish visibility of cloud infrastructure to the NOC teams

- Work very closely with the OSS/BSS teams to ensure appropriate integrations are designed and implemented with Cloud Infrastructure

- Assist with automating the flow of updates from different Cloud Operations teams to the selected Knowledge Management (KM) solution (to be used by the NOC)

- Develop and end to end work intake and management solution to be used by the Cloud Operations organization to review, assign, plan and deploy solutions based on requests from internal customers

- Integrate and Automate escalation procedures for the NOC team in order to reach the appropriate personnel from the Cloud Operations team

- Work closely with external vendors & partners to develop and deploy appropriate solutions & infrastructure


Job Requirements:

- At least 5 years related software integration and scripting experience especially in the OSS Domain

- Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure and meet goals / deadlines in timely manner

- Adaptability in dealing with constant changes in the organization and project lifecycles

- Strong presentation skills and proven ability to interface with all levels of the company

Preferred Qualifications:

- Prior experience and working knowledge in:

- Developing Integrations to Applications such as : IBM Netcool, XyMON/Hobbit (Big Brother etc), BMC Remedy/Atrium, Splunk, HPNA/HPSA, etc.

- Relational Databases : MySQL, Oracle

- Programming Languages : Java, JavaScript, Python, Shell Scripting, Ext JS infrastructure

- Other Environments/Applications : Atlassian Jira/Confluence tools suite, Source Control Systems such as Subversion, Git etc.

- UNIX/Linux operating systems and understanding of associated networking protocols

Education and Experience:
Bachelor ' s degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or equivalent training, education and experience.
