ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:
The basic function of the Delivery Office Manager position is to provide leadership of the delivery center which includes 3rd party delivery and installation contractors and h.h.gregg delivery office and warehouse staff with the purpose of providing a Platinum level of customer service to our customers and to our organization.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties and responsibilities are essential in the daily execution of the position:
  • Speaks directly with customers to resolve product and delivery / installation issues.
  • Oversee the check-in and check-out process of the delivery / installation contractors to ensure accuracy of paperwork and inventory.
  • Oversee the unloading of the incoming transfer trucks from our retail locations and the distribution of the inventory to the proper inventory location.
  • Accurate documentation of the return reports and transfers of merchandise from the stores and to the appropriate locations within the RDC.
  • Make adjustments to the schedules as needed to match the actual business needs.
  • Oversee delivery office functions including; opening day, entering the delivery / installation routes, modifying invoices, confirming deliveries and installs, filing and organization, speaking to stores and customers on the telephone.
  • Must be able to operate all warehouse machinery including order picker, reach truck and lift truck and any future equipment utilized in the day to day warehouse operation.
  • Maintain a clean facility at all times.
  • Oversee and ensure all delivery preparation functions are complete.
  • Handle any delivery warehouse and/or delivery office duties as needed.
  • Hires, orients, certifies, trains, evaluates, recommends pay increases and develops associates. Carries out disciplinary actions or recommends termination of employment as appropriate.

    Requirements:
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • Proven leadership skills including ability to direct work of others
  • High school education (or equivalent)
  • 3-5 plus years of experience in related field
  • Ability to plan effectively
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Prior management or supervisory experience required
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    Job Classification: Medium
    Exerting over 100 pounds minimally, 100 to 50 pounds occasionally, 50 to 25
    pounds frequently, and/or less than 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
