Holiday Evenings and Weekends Support Team: Bloomingdale's Medinah Home Store, IL - Part-time

Job Overview:



Bloomingdale's is seeking energetic individuals to join our sales support team in the receiving department for the HOLIDAY SEASON. As a Bloomingdale's Support Associate, you will play a key role in the back of the house operational aspects of our business. You will learn how we receive and process new merchandise and ensure it is delivered to the selling floor. You will also play a role in controlling our assets and preventing shortage.



Key Accountabilities:

• Loading and unloading trucks
• Moving merchandise within the department to prepare for sales and other promotional events
• Maintaining a neat, orderly stockroom
• Processing new merchandise (unpacking, hanging, etc.) and delivering it to the floor
• Delivering supplies to the floor
• Assisting with customer carry-out
• Processing merchandise for movement - returns to vendor, transfers to other locations, salvage
• Understanding the causes of shortage and how to prevent it
• Greeting all customers in a friendly manner
