Sales Lead Job Summary-

The Sales Lead serves as a lifeline to the company in the field. The position calls for quick-thinking, efficient decisions that ensure the best possible outcome in unpredictable and fast-moving environments. Simply put, the Sales Lead is in charge of flawless event execution. The ideal candidate is both a natural leader and showman who can maintain a warm, friendly, outgoing demeanor while leading a team and interacting with customers.

Sales Lead Job Responsibilities-
  • Acts as primary field authority/main point of contact.
  • Placement and set-up/teardown of assets.
  • Provide leadership to field team in order to reach program goals.
  • Motivate and support team to execute without incident every time at every event.
  • Document the event via reporting and pictures.
  • Assign event day duties to both internal ASM and external agency staff.
  • Responsible for event assets, transport, and maintenance of all assets.
  • Communicate event updates as required to ASM Management.
  • Drive brand awareness, education and sales for a a well-known, high-end household appliance manufacturer.
  • Create an exciting, highly engaging, and educational in store theater performance and distinctive brand experience.
  • Demonstrate, sell and create brand enthusiasts through these performances at club and specialty retailers.


Personal Development / Training/ Reporting
  • Participate in mandatory on-line trainings and conference calls.
  • Attend possible ongoing monthly product trainings, team meetings, client trainings, etc.
  • Accurately complete and submit timely HR paperwork and reports online, call reports, expense reports (if applicable), training certification quizzes, etc.


Sales Lead Job Requirements-

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalency.
  • Managerial experience with comfort in making decisions and leading a sales initiative required.
  • Prior promotional and event experience required, ideally with home products or other high end items that require deep knowledge and understanding of products for demonstration.


Skills & Competencies

  • Familiar and comfortable with event displays, communication and coordination with store management and understands nuances and success of in store sales promotions.
  • Proactive, free thinker who is able to troubleshoot and think on their toes as well as act professional while engaging with store management and client on-site.
  • Highly effective communicator, must demonstrate strong salesmanship, showmanship, charisma and clear communication.
  • Highly social, sharp, engaging, friendly, inviting with experience including responsibility for sales and/or sales event operational details.

Responsibilities

Job Purpose

The Field Event Manager serves as the primary field specialist in charge of flawless execution and quality assurance of the event. This position directs use of event resources (event set-up, and equipment) to ensure maximum effectiveness of brand message and achievement of objectives. Continually optimizes quality in all areas including but not limited to: aesthetic look of set-up, event entertainment value (sound and visual), effectiveness of interaction with consumers, and total impact of mobile marketing initiative on target audience. Works closely with the client/brand, oversees event, and documents the event via reporting and pictures.

Job Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent work experience 2-4 year college degree or equivalent work experience in related field/industry. Experience managing events on-site as well as having an ability to delegate tasks to a team of associates in order to achieve event goals. A thorough knowledge of principles of effective brand marketing, specifically mobile marketing. Proven experience in effective communications, consumer and client relations, and management. Engaging and outgoing personality. Excellent organization and writing skills. Detail oriented with exceptional time management and multi-task approach. Needs to have the ability to stand and interact with customers and staff, by moving away from the event station as needed in order to promote sales and manage the event for the entire length of the shift (other than legally required breaks/meal periods). Certain events may require an associate to drive and operate your own or company leased vehicle (to include mobile trucks, cars and/or vans) transporting event assets to and from worksite. Carrying, lifting, lowering appliances/equipment weighing up to 50 lbs a distance of 20 feet and up to 10 feet overhead. Must be capable of bending and kneeling, reaching and lifting and squatting for short periods of time etc. Certain product demonstrations may require specialized talent, experience, expertise, skills, knowledge, certification, or duties in order to be eligible to conduct a particular event. If an associate does not satisfy the particular requirements for the specialized event, he/she would remain eligible for the standard, non-specialized events otherwise available to all associates in the position (to the extent such positions are available). Examples of the talent, expertise, experience, skills, knowledge, certification, or duties which may be required to conduct a specialized event include (without limitation): ability to satisfy requirements necessary to conduct product demonstrations involving alcoholic beverages; Food Safety Certification; Responsible Alcohol Server Certification, ability to conduct hot and/or cold food preparation (including without limitation use and handling of sharp objects, cooking appliances, and other food-related tools/equipment); video game/other consumer electronics knowledge, skills, and experience.

Other Requirements

Strong understanding and utilization of proper safety techniques and correct use of equipment when appropriate
