About this job
PrideStaff is currently seeking several strong customer focused candidates to provide customer service support to clients for pension and/or health and welfare plans and associated web-based applications.
Positions are in the Sorrento Valley area, and are temporary with the possibility of turning into a temp to hire opportunity. Must be able to consent to a background investigation, be able to work between 6am and 6pm and have no time off requests in the fall months.
Training is 2- 3 weeks (30-40 hours each week during training).
This company is very EMPLOYEE ORIENTED and really takes the time and effort to ensure that the employees are comfortable and treated well. Little things such as a free soda machine or Starbucks coffee go a long way! **Please note that you must have open availability to work a shift between the hours of 6am and 6pm, Monday-Friday**
Job Responsibilities
-Perform customer service support by responding professionally to customer inquiries/issues received via phone, e-mail or other communication devices and ensure that appropriate action is taken
-Research participant questions related to employee benefit plans
-Provide technical support and assist customers in using web-based, employee self-service tools
-Read and understand plan documents, amendments, online knowledge base tools and benefit administration systems while applying procedures and guidelines
-Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
-Excellent ability to communicate effectively and professionally (both written and verbal) with a strong customer service focus
-Strong proficiency in the use of desktop and web-based computer applications including Microsoft Office, Database and Software programs, Internet Navigation and Call Center systems desired
-Working knowledge of health and welfare and defined benefit pension plans a plus
-1-2 years in a customer service setting
-Strong attention to detail
-Analytical and multi-tasking skills
-Aptitude to successfully train and perform in a transparent high-tech/high-touch team based environment
-Ability to understand and follow oral and written instruction
-Ability to work a flexible schedule and maintain an excellent attendance record
-Ability to type 30+ wpm
-Fluency in Spanish a plus
-Bachelor's degree preferred
