Insurance Solutions provides AARP Medicare Supplement and AARP Hospital Indemnity Insurance Plans to AARP members. We are seeking a marketing professional to join our Horsham, PA office as a Marketing Communications Specialist for the AARP-branded products sold through the Agent Distribution Channel.  This highly visible position offers excellent growth potential within a Fortune 100 healthcare organization. The hired individual will have the opportunity to work on both business-to-business activity (with field sales agents and their agencies) and business-to-consumer (sales activity).  The job entails coordinating the annual award process, supporting the development and implementation of marketing campaigns, and managing the team's budget and forecasts.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support development of new business opportunities to existing Agents and attracting new Agents/Agencies to sell the AARP Medicare Supplement product.
  • Assist with developing sales and marketing collateral/tools to educate and promote the product to the Agents/Agencies to drive increased sales activity.
  • Coordinate the annual award program process, which includes pulling data, confirming award winners and developing materials to be included with the award
  • Evaluate and participate in initiatives and projects in support of the Agent channel and new business activities.
  • Ability to collect data from multiple resources to create specific reports and/or mailing reports. 
  • Support implementation of marketing and other business projects via testing, proofing, annual review process, etc. 
  • Track and measure effectiveness of marketing campaigns.  
  • Interface with advertising agency(ies) to deliver assignments.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years Previous Marketing Experience
  • Previous experience with Adobe Acrobat
  • 2+ years Previous experience managing multiple marketing projects
  • Ability to utilize MS Word must be capable of creating templates, correspondence, and entering information into forms, using spell/grammar check, mail merges.
  • Ability to utilize MS Excel for data entry, sorting filtering, working with basic tables and basic formulas.
  • Ability to utilize MS Outlook for e-mailing, calendar management, e-mail archives.
  • Ability to utilize PowerPoint for creating presentations from scratch, using existing templates,
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% domestically

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the healthcare or insurance industry
  • Previous experience managing marketing projects with cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Communications, or related field
  • Experience working with advertising agencies is desired.
