POSITION SUMMARY:

The Marketing Cashier position markets the nightclub and services offered to our customer base and follows all specific marketing requirements and guidelines. Performs in a public relations capacity when promoting Park Avenue. Marketing Cashier is responsible for greeting and taking money/passes from guest as they enter the venue. Maintains all assigned wardrobe/costumes in accordance with established standards and uniform guidelines. Works in an efficient and professional manner while maintaining a positive attitude and delivering superior guest service at all times. Performs other duties as requested.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

GUEST SERVICE/COMMUNICATION

  • Greet all guests promptly, with a friendly and upbeat attitude
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a courteous and polite manner
  • Anticipate guest needs
  • Responds to guest concerns/complaints regarding service and corrects errors or resolves complaints with a positive attitude
  • Adhere to all Park Avenue’s Standard Operating Procedures
  • Maintain all Park Avenue’s Sequence of Service Standards
  • Provide information to guests regarding our venue, menu, and pricing
  • Recognize and cultivate regular guests and repeat business
  • Report any incidents of theft, vandalism, or violations
  • Ability to communicate in English with guests and co-workers
  • Provide customers with information and directions

RESPONSIBLE ALCOHOL MANGEMENT

  • Recognize and acknowledge when guests are becoming intoxicated and/or are intoxicated
  • Monitor potentially intoxicated and/or disruptive guests and promptly bring to a Manager’s attention
  • Refuses further service of alcohol to intoxicated guests in a courteous and safety-minded manner
  • Responsible for checking the identification of customers in question and following all other responsible vending guidelines
  • Comply with all safety and health procedures as well as Company and/or department policies/procedures
  • Comply with all state liquor laws

MAINTENANCE OF FRONT ENTRY AND STATION

  • Keep entry, register station and all equipment clean and organized
  • Ensure daily/nightly/weekly and opening/running/closing duties are completed
  • Record and report any equipment failure and/or safety hazards to a Manager immediately
  • Ensure that TV’s and all displays are set correctly and clean
  • Maintain Park Avenue Safety and Sanitation Standards
  • Place all trash in proper receptacles

MARKETING/PROMOTIONS

  • Adheres to all specifies marketing requirements and guidelines (guest list, reservations, social media, etc)
  • Pose for pictures as requested by management, appear in uniform or designated (logo) apparel for promotional activities at or away from venue. Participate and appear in marketing, publicity or media materials in the capacity as outlines herein.
  • Marketing and promoting venue specific events
  • Interacts and entertains guests in a professional, cordial, and exemplary manner

PROMPT, CORRECT, & COMPLETE SERVICE

  • Greet every person as they walk up to register
  • Take cash, credit card, gift card, or pass in a courtesy manner
  • Ask guest for identification in a polite and welcoming manner
  • Communicate clearly and calmly with guests when asked for more information and directions
  • Hand guests change and receipts with a smile and a thank you

RESPONSIBILITIES/TEAMWORK/DEPARTMENT

  • Assist all other team members as needed
  • Create and maintain a sense of urgency
  • Appear in uniform for all shifts and promotional activities at scheduled time
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned
  • Inform management of any complaint, comments or incidents
  • Present and maintain a attractive, professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to Park Avenue standards to further the overall theme of the venue
  • Ability to create and maintain service rapport through the Park Avenue Corporate philosophy

MARKETING RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS ARE AS FOLLOWS

  • Must have a Facebook page, Twitter Account, and Instagram which identifies the venue the employee works at (ex: John/Jane Doe at Park Avenue)
  • Must have seven (7) tweets and IG posts per week in relation to the venue
  • Must post updated event information on a weekly basis on Facebook page
  • Must send out three (3) Thank You emails for every shift worked (collect three (3) email addresses per shift)
  • Must send out one (1) email blast per week
  • Must have a ten (10) person guest list on each shift worked

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma required or equivalent
  • 18+ years of age
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United Stated
  • Hospitality experience preferred
  • Possession of/or ability to possess a valid TABC certificate

WORKING KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • POS systems
