The PREP Teacher is responsible for the effective implementation of programming and curriculum in the classroom. This includes following budgetary guidelines while organizing and communicating the need for supplies. This position is also a leadership role for the team of educators within the center which requires guidance, assessment and communication on trainings that will improve the team. This position is key position for parent teacher communication which requires availability for parent conferences which may occur outside of the normal day for open houses during spring and winter seasons. It is also imperative that the PREP teacher maintain the classroom learning bulletin boards, keep a portfolio of children's work accomplishments, provide assessments of performance for children to provide to parents and supervise and organize winter and spring performances.
Our school is currently hiring a full time Lead Teacher who meets the requirements listed below.
Requirements include:
* Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
* Six months of experience in a supervised childcare setting
* CDA certificate or bachelors in education or related field required
* Must be capable of communicating both orally and in writing
* Have the ability to create and write lesson plans
