NATIONAL TESTING NETWORK | ERGOMETRICS is an exciting, growing company committed to the development of high quality employment and licensure exams. National Testing Network has developed the most innovative, job-related simulations tests in the industry. National Testing Network has been contracted by the Commonwealth of Virginia to provide licensing exams for Barbers, Cosmetologists, Estheticians, Nail Technicians and Wax Technicians.
The Examination Proctor is primarily responsible for the security of computerized and written examinations, making precise recordings of performance, and provide needed administrative support for the testing center. As team members of a professional test administration provider, Examination Proctors are required to uphold all professional standards and policy and procedures set by National Testing Network. This is a part-time position.
General Job Duties
*Administrative
oAssure professional, candidate-friendly experience for all candidates during their time at the center
oMaintain testing center at highest level of cleanliness and order
oAdequate handling of all administrative, identification, and security procedures.
oCoordinate and communicate with NTN support team, scoring staff and test center management staff
oProvide administrative support as needed
oDraft incident reports as necessary
*Test Administration
oAdminister and proctor highly professional testing systems tests
oObserve candidates during the examination and precisely and accurately note any irregularities.
oReport any irregularities
oProvide friendly, customer service oriented test administration
oProvide consistent and fair test administration
oWork directly with candidates
oMaintain test security
oSubmit rating sheets and reports for scoring and processing
oParticipate in routine training for Examination Proctors

Required Skills and Abilities
oExtensive knowledge of Cosmetology industry
oBasic knowledge of Cosmetology licensing process
oAbility to learn and implement NTN test administration practices and procedures
oAdhere to the test administration procedural manual
oExcellent inter-personal communications skills, both oral and written
oAbility to clearly and articulately speak the English Language
oComputer skills, competent for working with computer based tests and record keeping systems
oAbility to contribute positively to the work environment and add to co-worker morale
oAbility to maintain professional working environment
oAbility to maintain organized work environment including filing system and test material inventory
oAbility to communicate professionally with all parties, including those whose primary language is other than English
oRegular, daily attendance and punctuality is essential to our business and to this position

Job Requirements
oObjective test orientation without conflict of interest, without favoritism or affiliation with particular schools, systems/methods, products used, etc.
oNo current school ownership, current teaching position or apprentice sponsorship
oWhile working with NTN, other work within the Cosmetology industry must be cleared and approved to ensure objectivity
