Merchandise Engraving & Embroidery Associates

This job will initially involve opening the boxed product and preparing it to be engraved. The dept. manager will do the engraving initially. After the product is engraved employees will wipe off any fingerprints, re-assemble or re-package the item and prepare it to be shipped via FedEx, back the retail store.


Candidates should have attention to detail, be able to use small hand tools and be quality minded.


After 30 days this employee will have the potential to be trained on the laser engraving equipment and an increase in salary. The positions will pay $10/hr to start.


Part-time hours to start (20-30 hrs/week) this could eventually become full time.


Requirements

High school diploma or GED

1-2 years of experience


Special Certifications or Technical Skill

Microsoft Office Suite, must have vision correction to 20/20 and must meet minimum requirements on a color perception test


Additional Preferred Qualifications

Graphic arts or technical design training preferred

Printing, laser engraving, light industrial operations experience

Trained on Adobe Creative suite of software, strong attention to detail


Tools/Equipment used: computers, printers, laser engraving, sublimation (heat application equipment), book binding, packing tools and materials and other light industrial equipment


Physical Activities: bending, standing, walking, squatting, push/pull, reach above shoulder level, utilize fine finger movements, handle objects requiring manual dexterity, carry/lift loads of up to 50 lbs
