Store Display Installer

Store Display Installers work in stores demoing, assembling, and installing shelving, custom showrooms and cash wraps, accurately following the client’s visual merchandising standards. The ideal candidate possesses excellent customer service, interpersonal and prioritization skills and is an independent and skilled craftsperson with a knack for carpentry.

Store Display Installer Responsibilities
  • Demo, assemble and install steel shelving/cantilever and major metal fixtures
  • Build and install custom showrooms
  • Install cash wraps
  • Miscellaneous carpentry finishing
  • Travel and driving are essential to this position


Store Display Installer Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience preferred
  • Work in a face-paced environment, completing multiple duties with accuracy shifting from one to another with frequent interruptions and competing deadlines
  • Exercise sound judgment, work independently and prioritize with minimal supervision
  • Engage in considerable physical activity, lift and/or push up to 74 pounds, stand for long periods of time, and work in cold conditions i.e. refrigerated and freezer sections
  • Must have basic hand and power tools including: hammer, screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, cordless drill, and saw
  • Knowledge of proper safety practices when handling products, tools and power equipment

Position Summary

The Store Display Installer works in stores normally during overnight hours demoing, assembling and installing shelving, kitchen displays and custom showrooms including carpentry finishing and other miscellaneous carpentry duties.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Store Installation
  • Demo and install kitchen cabinet displays
  • Demo, assemble and install steel shelving/cantilever
  • Build and install custom showrooms
  • Install cash wraps
  • Build walls as needed


Miscellaneous
  • Miscellaneous carpentry finishing
  • Placement of signs and point of purchase materials

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed in a retail in-store environment. Typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each work day doing the following activities: engage in considerable physical activity, ability to lift and/or push up to 74 pounds, stand on feet for long periods of time, use products or cook food as appropriate for the demonstration, and may be required to work in extremely cold conditions (i.e. refrigerated and freezer sections). Also required to travel and drive. The use of proper safety practices when handling the products and/or cooking is essential.
