About this job
Our client is currently looking for a Building Engineer to work onsite a technology company in Northern VA. This candidate will work direct with the Property Manager to ensure the safe and proper operations of HVAC, Fire/Life Safety equipment, and Electrical systems.
Essential functions are:
���Experience with Tier 1 data center facility maintenance.
��� Operate, maintain and repair all auxiliary equipment associated with HVAC operations (Chillers, RTUs, CRACs, pumps, and electrical peripherals).
��� Complete all work orders on time.
��� Ensure that proper housekeeping is maintained in all mechanical areas.
��� Submit work requests for work to be done on equipment needing attention.
��� Monitor all available information of all Facility Support Systems displayed on the computer BAS. system. Follow up on any issues as they arise.
��� Sign and perform tasks in log book on a daily basis.
��� Purchasing repair and maintenance parts as need.
��� Perform minor plumbing repairs
Experience in follow areas are desired:
o DX Self Contained units
o Cooling tower maintenance
o Pump and motor maintenance and repair
o Siemens Apogee BAS and/or Andover systems
o Electrical switchgear & associated 480 volt distribution systems, emergency generators
o Plumbing & Water Treatment
o Siemens and Notifier Fire-Life Safety systems operational experience.
Qualifications:
-5 years of experience (min.)
-License highly preferred; MD 1st, DC 3rd, VA HVAC License, etc...
-Universal CFC required
-Experience in a Commercial OFFICE facility is required
-Experience working in a temperature controlled data center environment is a must (Tier 1)
