Job Description

Title: Manager
Department(s): Restaurant Operations
Reports to: Management/Franchisee

Job summary
The manager supervises and performs all restaurant activity. Manages direct staff to ensure that food safety, product preparation, cleanliness and inventory control standards are maintained. Managers recruit staff, oversea training processes, and assign work schedules. Managers are also tasked with local marketing strategies, which may include local outreach to promote sales. Excellent customer service is a must for the position.

Summary of essential job functions
-- Designs and communicates staff work schedules
-- Recruits, promotes, and terminates staff as needed
-- Communicates changes with regard to food preparation, food handling, safety, etc.
-- Ensures that all health standards (local and national) are maintained and all company safety and security policies are being followed.
-- Maintains and monitors business records, as specified in the operation manual
-- Promotes local and national marketing initiatives
-- Completes management training and Subway courses as directed

Minimum requirements
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) years in a supervisor or management positions, preferably in the food industry
- Preferred Experience: Recent Subway management experience at the assistant or manager level
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written customer and employee communication skills

Physical requirements
-- Must be able to work any area of the restaurant (i.e. food prep, cashier, etc.)
-- Must be able to operate Point of Sale system/cash register
-- Must be able to stand, bend, and walk for an entire workday
-- Must be able to lift 10 lbs frequently and 30 lbs occasionally
