The Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting the needs of CLP's diverse client base by fulfilling administrative support responsibilities.
What you'll do:
- Assist with cost effective recruiting tasks, including research and identification of qualified skilled trade's candidates.
- Execute and maintain network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates.
- Make contact with potential qualified candidates for specific job openings.
- Visit outside centers of recruitment and/or job sites as needed.
- Handle administrative tasks related to phone traffic, pre-screen applicants for suitability for employment in the construction industry, schedule appointments, greet applicants, administer pre-employment assessments and coordinate application paperwork.
- Administer post-offer drug screens and conduct applicant background checks.
- Conduct safety and new hire orientation for all field employee new hires.
- Set up and maintain compliance of all field employee personnel files.
- Order and maintain branch office supplies.
- Handle customer inquiries, providing relevant company information as appropriate; take and relay comprehensive messages from customers and field employees.
- Assist with the identification of job placement opportunities as dictated by business and market conditions, to include direct telephone contact with existing and prospective CLP customers.
- Assist with customer orders by working with Trade Recruiter to assign field employees to customer sites.
- Assist in the preparation of weekly field employee payroll.
What you bring to the table:
- Customer Service attitude with the ability to work with a team and unsupervised.
- 2 years administrative and customer service experience and/or recent education or military experience.
- Construction and Staffing industry knowledge preferred.
- Highest commitment to quality customer service.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.
- Strong computer skills; Ability to learn and work with new programs.
- High school diploma or GED required; One year of college or technical training preferred.
- Bilingual language skills a plus.
