Impact

As a Strategic Marketing Manager you will be a critical member of the marketing team who recognizes the unique attributes of Pitney Bowes Small, Medium Size Business Solutions (SMB Solutions) and seize opportunities to communicate them for maximum impact. You will work with the team to identify research and analyze global and regional market trends/situations, business opportunities and new technologies that can generate breakthrough growth opportunities. You will specialize in the client base of the business unit, understanding its different segments, their needs, trends and issues. The Manager understands the buyers, decision makers and business processes in the shipping and mailing areas of these businesses, including the particular needs of multi-location sites. The Manager also understands the sales channels most effective to reaching the segment. The position is based in Shelton, CT.

The Job





Provides input to Marketing Strategy and Planning Director on overall Marketing Plan

Works with Market Intelligence to understand and analyze specific trends and opportunities across the key segments

Build more specific, detailed execution plan designed to achieve goals within the segment, collaborating with and leveraging the work of key product marketing counterparts; Project manages cross product line campaigns and special projects within key segments

Partners with Director of Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) to identify key campaigns and tactics; outlines key drivers and elements of each; clarifies key messaging requirements for each segment. Allocates budget across campaigns and tactics of segment plan

Develops key relationships within the field and partners to ensure key linkages with segment specialty
Qualification


Bachelors' Degree, MBA a plus

5-8 years' experience marketing, with specific emphasis on marketing strategy

Market focused and results oriented ; Intimate understanding of industry and target markets

Demonstrated ability to work with cross-disciplinary teams (market intelligence, product marketing, IMC and product management) in order to accomplish goals

Understanding of key marketing programs required and related funding necessary

Excellent project management/coordination skills to manage multiple priorities in order achieve goals

We segment our SMB Solutions business between our North America operations, comprising the U.S. and Canadian businesses, and our International operations.
