Loan Officer's Assistant

Aerotek is looking for a Loan Officer Assistant (LOA) for a client in Suitland, MD. The LOA is responsible for responding to residential mortgage loan inquiries in compliance with the Credit Union's policies, procedures and related laws and regulations. Verifies member information and works with the Loan Officer to proceed with the loan. Promotes quality member service.

1. Update or correct data from new loan application that is required for Borrower approval through use of loan software.
2. Print new application with supporting documents; prepare files for order out and processing review.
3. Prepare accurate cost estimates for borrowers.
4. Track all outstanding items on all files and follow up with customers to ensure timely receipt of necessary documentation.
5. Participate in weekly file reviews with processor.
6. Facilitate the closing of loans in a timely manner.
7. Perform other support/administrative tasks as requested.
