Aerotek CE is seeking a Project Manager with at least 5 years of metal fabrication experience for a growing company in the Portland, OR area.

Description:
The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute and finalize projects in a metal fabrication/machine job shop according to strict deadlines. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third party contractors in order to deliver projects according to plan. The successful candidate will be able to estimate labor, and procure materials for projects as well as establish a customer base and should have hands on metal fabrication experience. The candidate will be at expert level at either AutoCad or Solidworks and have a working knowledge of the other, and should be able to immediately start managing projects.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have at least 5 years of verifiable direct metal fabrication work or machine shop experience in a project management capacity.
- Must be proficient in AutoCad 2004-2014 or Solidworks 2006-2014 and have a workable knowledge of the other.
- Must be able to demonstrate sample shop fabrication drawings.
- Have the ability to work within tight timelines and manage multiple projects at the same time.
- Have excellent customer service skills.
- Work directly with architects, designers, engineers and other trades.
- Ability to think through the design prior to fabrication and envision the end product.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office, Word and Excel proficiently, Quickbooks is a plus.
- Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members.
- Estimate the labor and resources needed to achieve project goals.
- Plan and schedule project timelines.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential problems and devise contingency plans.
- Develop and grow customer base.
- Be willing to put in the necessary time and effort for success.
- Responsible for controlling project costs.
