Our Customer Service teams have a serious responsibility to make every contact informative, productive, positive, and memorable for what it says about how much we care.
Primary
Responsibilities:
- Respond to Incoming Provider and Enrollee calls.
- Resolve Customer Service inquiries which could include:
- Entering notifications and Providers' status of an existing notification, and determining if notification is required; and
- Completing Notification Wizard, along with ICD-9 and CPT Coding.
- Provide excellent Customer Service to both Providers and Enrollees.
- Constantly meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards while maintaining good attendance.
- Assist with faxes and emails.
- Plan, prioritize, organize, and complete work to meet established objectives.
- Able to effectively utilize UHG applications related to QOC case research, including but not limited to authorization applications, auto correspondence, and Member & Provider demographic systems.
- Medical Terminology knowledge.
- Order Medical Records and/or response for Clinical Reviewer (including working with copy services as needed and timely follow-up).
- Good verbal communication skills with Provider contacts
- Support Clinical staff in case closure within 3 business days.
- Support Clinical staff with QOC Inquiry correspondence within 1 business day (includes fax to involved Provider, merge fax confirmation with soft copy of Inquiry letter and save in document storage application; and complete timely phone Follow Up for response).
- Interface with other departments, as needed (i.e. A & G, UHN, etc).
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED.
- 2+ years of Customer Service experience.
- 1+ year of experience in an office setting using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform the job duties.
- 6+ months of experience working in a professional team environment
- Familiarity with computer and Windows applications, including Microsoft Office.
- Designated and secure work space.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
- Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records.
- Knowledge of HIPAA requirements.
