Labor Ready is currently hiring Industrial Mechanics in the Ocoee, FL area! This is an excellent temporary-to-hire opportunity with a great company!

 

Job Description:

• Performs mechanical work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of waste treatment equipment and machinery
• Determines nature of malfunctions and suggests how to repair it or if equipment should be returned to the shop for a major overhaul
• Decides when the shaft needs lubricating or additional oil for the engine is needed: plugs, points, etc.
• Work is performed under supervision of Mechanic Supervisor or management and is reviewed while in progress and upon completion for accuracy and completeness

 

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED plus a minimum of 3 years of industrial mechanical experience; and/or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Knowledge of standard principles, practices, methods, methods, and tools of the mechanic trade
• Knowledge of occupational safety rules, regulations, health hazards, and ability to ensure adherence. Skilled in the correct, safe, and accurate use of tools and equipment relevant to the mechanic trade
• Skilled in the operation of personal computers
• Ability to analyze and diagnose problems and performs required corrections
• Ability to maintain records, estimate costs, and order necessary parts and supplies
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, plans, schematics, drawings, blueprints, and bulletins
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with employees and the general public
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work in awkward positions, climb, bend, stoop, kneel, push/pull/lift heavy parts (up to and including 50+ lbs) to perform repairs
• Must own a standard set of mechanic tools
• Background Check and Drug Screen are required

Pay Rate:  $13.74

Shift/Hours:  Day Shift 7 AM-3:30 PM, Working 35 hours
