End User Computing Programmer Intern (Part-Time)

Candidates for this internship must be a junior, senior, or college graduate up to 24 months post-graduation with a major in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering or a similar degree.

The Programmer Intern will define and document the requirements and specifications for existing manual processes and create web based applications to automate these processes.

Project Task:

• Create a web based repository for applications that are currently housed on Microsoft Access applications and run in a desk top environment
• Test applications in parallel with the manually run applications used currently
• Ensure new applications will allow users to select the criteria to personalize the results

Key Deliverables:

Project Documentation

• Analyze existing manual process
• Develop requirements document
• Develop design documentation

Create Web Based Solution

• Build application to meet requirements
• Create test criteria
• Demo and test new application to meet requirements

Requirements:

• A current college junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering or a similar degree with at least three years of course work completed towards a degree or within two years of graduation
• Excellent Microsoft Access, Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Database skills preferably in SQL Server/Oracle
• Data manipulation skills
• Statistical analysis skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Professional in appearance, actions and behaviors
