Impact

The JavaScript engineer is essential for Pitney Bowes to deliver on our new architectural design. We build customer engagement solutions for any vertical across the globe, and our customer list includes some of the biggest banks, telecoms, government agencies, insurance, and retail businesses in the world. Our global team includes UX engineers, BAs, architects, QA, and Java engineers working on our next major revision, and are ready to partner with a powerhouse group of JS developers. The impact of the JS engineer is enabling us to deliver a world-class product suite, and they are an essential part of our mission of delighting customers with our software.

The Job

The purpose of the Advisory JS Engineer is to consistently deliver projects on time and within budget, meeting high quality standards and client expectations. The Advisory Engineer works within our Agile-Scrum framework to write high-quality front-end applications and builds solutions consistent with architecture standards and an emphasis on usability and user experience best practices.

Qualification

-HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery & Knockout.js, QUnit and Bootstrap

-Desired skills: Node.js, underscore.js, Sycamore, moment.js, Angular JS, Bower and Compass/SASS.

-Knowledge of Java web services and SOAP or REST a plus

-Experience with SCRUM or other Lean/Agile methodologies

-Knowledge of usability, human factors, and the UX process

-Proven ability to think at the system's level and continually engage in learning initiatives

Excellent time management skills; Excellent communication skills; Deadline driven; Detail oriented
