Warehouse Clerk
Location: Near Airport Rd & NE 122nd
Pay: $13-14/hour
Summary:
Stages raw material, cartons, and cores at appropriate presses and rewinders to be used by production jobs. Returns unused stock to inventory. Receives raw material, carton, and cores orders.
Raw Materials Warehouse Clerk Duties and Responsibilities:
- Stages raw material, cartons, and cores at appropriate presses and rewinders to be used by production jobs.
- Returns unused stock, cartons, and cores to inventory.
- Receives and unloads incoming materials and compares what was received with information on packing slip and purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment.
- Sorts, counts, labels, unpacks, and/or logs inventory that is shipped or received.
- Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.
- Warehouses inventory of over-production, base stock inventory, and other converted raw materials.
- Performs monthly cycle counts and year-end physical counts of raw materials inventory, carton inventory and cores inventory.
- Performs quarter-end physical counts of over-production, base stock inventory, and other converted raw materials.
- Coordinates the pickup of waste and recycled materials.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Ability to operate forklift and order picker.
- Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data.
- Ability to sort, check, count, and verify numbers.
- Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects.
- Ability to perform simple arithmetic.
- Knowledge of light equipment operation and/or maintenance.
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
Working Conditions:
Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 75 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment or working with chemicals.
