Responsibilities:

The role of the Associate Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members. The Project Manager is responsible for understanding the details of each assignment; assisting with the communicating those details and will also define the project’s objectives while overseeing quality control throughout its life cycle.
  • Manage project development/execution from beginning to end.
  • Liaison with Marketing team for projects that are in “test market” and launch mode – identify project by promotional periods working with stakeholders managing content, plan and execute market research studies to shape “roll-out” plans
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management and stakeholders.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents including client communications
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
  • Liaison with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis. Managing relationships with various vendors at the project level while coordinating the statement of work process for project related creative services
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, requirements documentation, and presentations. Organize and analyze data from available data sources including IRI, Nielsen, Spectra, POS data, Nielsen Homescan and others to support projects initiatives
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Define project success criteria with internal stakeholders and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
  • Conclude projects with proof of performance, execution analysis and invoice generation through project management systems.
  • Miscellaneous projects as assigned

Requirements

  • 4+ years direct work experience in a project coordination/management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook as well as Adobe Creative Suite. Demonstrated experience interdepartmental personnel management.
  • Ability to read communication styles of team members and vendors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines. Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical, decision making and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Competent and proficient understanding of Project Management Methodology.
