CNC Programmer - Full-time / Part-time

Machine shop in Seaford, DE is currently looking for a CNC Machinist.

This CNC Machinist will have these Major Areas of Responsibility:
1. A CNC programmer determines the sequence of shaping operations and chooses the cutting tools needed.
2. He analyzes job orders, drawings, blueprints and other data and then performs all the necessary calculations
3. Writes programs or modifies existing programs and stores them on the machine's controller using tapes, disks or computer files.
4. Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, etc.; calculates requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
5. Ensures that the machines and programs operate correctly and that products meet specifications.
6. Adheres to quality assurance procedures and processes.
7. Plans machining program/instructions by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
8. Plans stock inventory by checking stock to determine amount available; anticipating needed stock; placing and expediting orders for stock; verifying receipt of stock.
9. Assists management with continuous improvement activities using the CAR, PAR and Improvement Idea systems.
10. This would be a second shift opportunity, candidates must be willing to work overtime
