As Pharmacy Accounting Representative, you will:
- Prepare check deposits, including scanning of checks into Remote Deposit System, uploading journal entries to accounting software, and preparing/sending backup
- Pull ACH information from online banking system and uploads batch card to accounting software
- Pulls Medicaid Explanation of Benefits from individual State websites for retention onsite.
- Updates other insurance information in database for Medicare claims
- Maintains information regarding all supplemental insurers' overpayments, including requests for reimbursement to patients and vendor setup requests
- Maintains Vendor List spreadsheet
- Assists in creation and maintenance of training documentation
- Other tasks and/or projects as needed or assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalency required
- Minimum 1-3 years' accounting experience preferred, ideally in pharmacy and.or medical receivables
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations preferred
- Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Effective oral and written communications skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, efficiently and productively
