Spartan is currently hiring several Warehouse Associates in Central Austin, TX for a stable company. If you are looking for a great job working outdoors in many weather conditions that offers long term stability and longevity this could be the place for you. 

Warehouse Associates Job Description

Warehouse Associates receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. Keep records and compile stock reports. Manually move freight, stock, or other materials or perform other general labor.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Float in various positions within the department including, but not limited to: packing product, loading and unloading semi trailers, delivering products, etc.
• Float in various positions outside of the department provided that:
  a) those positions are within the limits of what the employee is physically able to do, and
  b) the employee has the proper experience and/or training.
• Conveys materials and items from receiving areas to storage or to other designated areas manually, with pallet jack or using forklift
• Sorts and places materials using or items using FIFO on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, temperature specifications, type, style, or product code
• Sorts and stores temperature controlled items in appropriate refrigerated rooms
• Marks materials with identifying information (pallet tags) and verifies accuracy

Job Requirements

• Previous warehouse experience is preferred
• Forklift and palletizing experience preferred
• Ability to work in a Freezer environment
• Wear appropriate clothing for a cold warehouse: long pants sweatshirt, long sleeve shirt, etc.
• The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and climb or balance
• The employee is frequently and repeatedly required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear
• Able to lift up to 80 lbs
• Valid TX Driver’s License

Pay Rate: $10.00 hour

Shift/Hours:  8 AM-5 PM Monday-Friday
