Service Manager Summary: The Service Manager directs an efficient and profitable service department through customer retention, cost controls, achievement of objectives, and maintenance of service records.
Service Manager Shift: First
Service Manager Responsibilities:
- Monitor technicians' daily productivity reports and corresponding payroll records
- Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the service department
- Monitor and control the performance of the department using appropriate reporting and tracking systems
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business
- Prepare pricing guides and maintenance menus for frequent labor operations
- Maintain reporting systems required by general management and corporate personnel
- Promotes safe work habits and ensures that safety rules are followed
- Develops and maintains policies and practices which will ensure positive employee and customer relations
- Coordinates the processing of warranty claims and administers warranty and policy adjustments in the most fair and honest manner for the customer, dealership and vendor
