Studio Manager
We currently have an immediate opening for a highly motivated Studio Manager.
The Studio Manager delivers the Picture People Promise every day by maintaining a trained studio team and by ensuring all operational procedures are completed to company standards. Achieves sales goals established by the company, by leading the studio effectively. Successfully manages a studio staff by recruiting, selecting, interviewing, orienting and training qualified candidates.
Job Responsibilities:
Business Standards:
- Contributes to company’s financial objectives by achieving or exceeding studio sales and profitability goals.
- Analyzes studio P&L Statements
- Regularly reviews each employee’s performance to ensure company objectives are achieved.
- Maintains administrative responsibilities (i.e. New Hire/Re-Hire paperwork, schedules, inventory, and reviews).
- Monitors cash control.
- Manages time effectively through proper planning and delegation
- Completes studio operational requirements according to company guidelines by scheduling and assigning associates, and following-up on work results.
- Achieves sales goals by following workflow and using company tools effectively.
- Accountable for funds in the POS system, including sales, payments, opening and closing validation.
- Maintains integrity of customer data by ensuring all team members accurately capture and enter customer information into the POS system.
- Ensures accurate sales, customer and employee data is transmitted to the Home Office by properly completing the POS opening and closing procedures.
- Ensures studio is properly stocked with supplies and merchandise.
Team Building:
- Maintains studio staff that performs to the company expectations by effectively recruiting, selecting, interviewing, orienting and training qualified candidates.
- Fosters a professional, productive, fun and rewarding studio environment that is free from any form of harassment and other forms of inappropriate behaviors.
- Conducts effective interviews to ensure candidates will be successful within the organization.
- Supports the success of each employee by developing a succession plan to ensure ongoing development of all members of the studio team.
- Develops a career path to prepare each management trainee for successful performance as a Studio Manager and ensures that each trainee follows their respective career path.
- Consistently provides feedback, coaching, ongoing training and development to the studio team.
- Resolves associate dissatisfaction by investigating complaints and concerns and taking appropriate action.
- Provides all team members with product knowledge to assist customers with price, product and services information, answering questions and scheduling appointments.
- Keeps studio team informed by communicating company news, information, standards, policies and procedures.
- Leads by example.
Customer Service:
- Ensures exceptional customer service is delivered to every customer by regularly observing the quality of service.
- Consistently contributes to company objectives.
- Provides an exceptional studio experience to our customers that are consistent with brand standards.
- Makes customers feel welcome and comfortable in the studio by greeting them with a friendly and enthusiastic smile.
- Ensures all safety policies and procedures are consistently followed providing customers and employees a safe and clean studio environment.
Marketing:
- Maintains a plan of action to ensure their studio participates in local marketing as required by the company, to include telemarketing, StarSearching, and Studio Tours.
- Partners with the Marketing Outreach Coordinator/Specialist and utilizes the appropriate local marketing resources to find opportunities in the Mall and community and plans events to drive new business into their studio.
- Manages all aspects of the Mobile Photography efforts by achieving or exceeding company goals in scheduling and completing photography sessions/tasks.
- Ensure that the studio has a qualified associated designated to manage the outreach effort.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Experience working with young children and their parents.
- Proven ability to generate sales.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Proven ability to recruit, hire and train qualified candidates.
- Ability to multi-task and demonstrate composure under pressure and in a fast paced environment.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including required nights and weekends at a minimum of 48 hours a week to meet the demands of the business and comply with studio scheduling policies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications with beginning level skills in Excel.
- Familiarity with intranet/internet navigation.
- Ability to meet travel requirements.
- Professional photography and processing experience preferred.
- Degree or some college, a plus.
These skills and abilities are typically acquired through completion of a high school diploma and three to five year’s management experience in the retail or service industry.
