Description

Located in Baltimore/Washington area, the Sodexo National Account Executive (NAE) is a critical role for DPS, leading the Sodexo foodservice and vending divisions and serving as a key member of the sales management team. The NAE contributes to DPS’ volume, profit and share growth by developing, selling, and executing plans for our portfolio of brands. This position is accountable for sales of our Carbonated Soft Drinks, Snapple/Premium beverages and Mott’s sauce and juice brands to Sodexo U.S. locations, and will report to the Director of National Accounts, Managed Services.

The role demands a highly driven, results oriented, collaborative thinker with strong business planning, analytical, and strategic selling skills. The right candidate must bring solution-based thinking, excellent communication skills and an extraordinary level of commitment. This individual must proactively partner with internal DPS resources across multiple functions that influence and assist with execution of the Sodexo strategy. This role requires a proven ability to build and execute national sales plans; align and coordinate selling activities across multiple sales systems; and excellent financial acumen, to maximize performance across all Sodexo divisions.

The position will be home office based in the Baltimore/Washington, DC metro area, with 50% travel nationwide.

Responsibilities:
  • Business Management: Actively and aggressively manage the Sodexo business across multiple divisions, with a focus on product, package, price, margins, turns, placement and promotion. Drive and report business results including volume, net sales, profit, and margins.
  • Selling, Negotiating, and Customer Management: Excellent understanding of Sodexo, its strategies, drivers, and approach to item management, enabling all aspects of customer relationship building and selling. Collect and analyze account and environmental data, and organize and summarize into sales plans to support and drive the Sodexo cold beverage strategy. Develop selling stories and selling materials based on customer needs, and analytics of customers’ business.
  • Investment Strategy: Optimize trade budget deployment against promotional plans and calendars to optimize sales and margin. Complete post-analysis on investments to learn from actions and adapt as necessary, and aggressively manage trade and indirect budgets.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop short and long term strategic growth plans and forecasts for Sodexo in coordination with team and cross-functional partners to address account needs. Develop and sell in annual calendars and growth targets.
  • Stakeholder Management: Sell key initiatives to internal and external stakeholders to galvanize support and resources behind plans. Coach and influence Route-to-Market team to drive executional excellence behind distribution & availability and programming. Maintain a respected executive presence to build top to top relationships with Sodexo leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• 5 years sales experience in the consumer product, or managed services industry
• 5 years’ experience using syndicated data in solution selling presentations (ex. Nielsen Scantrack)
• 5 years’ experience using MS Office products, with advances skills in PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel
