We are searching for an innovative finance and analytics professional to join our experienced team. This creative role offers an excellent opportunity to directly impact an innovative function and secure your future with an industry leader. This role works with a team spanning the US time zones, supporting Optum Local Care Delivery efforts to close gaps in care for our patients and members. We provide analysis and consultation to our local markets, clinicians and leaders to provide optimal, affordable care in conjunction with our analytics partners across Optum.
Requirements
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience working on large analytics projects in a multi-disciplinary team.
- 4 + years of financial analysis experience, including 1 or more years experience within a healthcare provider or payer organization.
- Conversant in data analysis using one or more of the following tools (or equivalents): Excel with PowerPivot, SSAS, SSRS, MS-SQL Developer, SAS.
- Proficient with MS Excel for data analysis and presentation
- Ability to work with and manage large amounts of data
- Strong facilitation, critical thinking, problem solving, decision making and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Preferred:
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Star, HEDIS, Medicare Advantage, and/or other quality or risk adjustment programs.
- Experience with SQL or SAS for data extraction and manipulation
- Proficient with MS Access
- Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2)
