Security Solutions Sales Engineer III

Responsibilities

Review and analyze current security technology infrastructure and its ability to support strategic corporate objectives

Identify and propose specific security strategies, initiatives and remedies necessary to align technology infrastructure with corporate objectives

Support development of business drivers, business case and high level program implementation plan

Translate customer business issues/opportunities into technical solution/business requirements

Develop conceptual security solution architecture using combination of VES standard products and third party suppliers to produce end to end customer solution

Build and communicate the value proposition of the end to end security solution to client executive

Partner with specific product specialists to identify and collect detailed technical requirements

Partner with commercial bid management organization to provide detailed RFP responses and contract development

Coordinate efforts across Verizon support/product specialist organizations to ensure overall integrity and consistency of final proposed solution

Work with the account teams and other Complex Solutions Architects to develop security solutions and recommend Verizon services to meet customer’s business requirements.

Base understanding in managed security services

Possess strong presentation skills, with the ability to develop and deliver security technical presentations with customers and to tailor content to audience as appropriate – to include ROI/TCO understanding.

Share knowledge and experience to enhance the technical capabilities of peers and build prospective opportunities

Possess solid understanding of the competitive landscape and ability to clearly articulate the technical differentiation and value proposition of Verizon solutions.

Qualifications

3-5+ years in development and/or implementation of security solutions/services. 

3-5+ years architecture experience in conceptualization, definition and development of security based products and service with instances of implementing or managing one or more of the following:

• Governance, Risk, and Compliance Services
  • Identity & Access Management
  • Investigative Response
  • Threat Management (MSS)
  • Vulnerability Management Services

3+ years in customer facing positions (sales, sales engineering, program management, consulting)

Degree preferred

Current and valid industry certifications preferred (CISSP)
