SHIFT LEADERS
The Shift Lead is responsible for executing the highest standards of shift performance during non-peak periods. Working with fellow employees, peers and management staff to continually improve, communicate and execute shift objectives (during non-peak periods) is a key component to a Shift Lead position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.
- Works directly with Center Management to ensure service model is being executed 100%. Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards.
- Maintains friendly, courteous, polite and helpful customer service through employees to ensure that each visit by a customer results in personalized service, with great food and beverage that is promptly delivered in a clean and inviting environment.
- Provides information on center programs and services, promotions, pricing and specials.
- Answers phones in a professional and pleasant manner and take reservations.
- Remains highly visible by spending a majority of time walking the center observing employee/customer interactions and providing leadership for the staff.
- Addresses customer complaints and disruptions in a professional manner.
- Maintains a safe environment for employees and customers.
- Develops constructive and cooperative working relationship with others, and maintaining them over time. Addresses employee relations issue during shift.
- Follows cash control procedures including preparation and transportation of daily deposits. Responsibilities include opening/closing cash procedures on non-peak shifts.
- Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and submits to Center Management for review and approval.
- Unloads, stocks and maintains required inventory level.
- Maintains quality of product and monitors all service equipment
- Inspects facility for compliance with occupational, health and safety regulations. Ensures that employees are following safe working practices and have a working knowledge of all safety practices and procedures.
- Ensures all alcohol and beverage servers are trained and that bowling center is in compliance with local alcohol regulations.
- Performs other routine management tasks necessary to the efficient operation of a bowling center during shift.
Requirements
- High School Diploma; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least one year of first line supervisory or management experience, preferably from a restaurant environment.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, nights and weekends.
- Must enjoy working with the public and demonstrate excellent guest-services skills.
- Ability to train, guide and lead others.
- Ability to work within a team environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Good written, verbal, math, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
