About this job

Job Title: *Develop and maintain efficiency within the production department per approved standards for labor and productivity and quality. *Execute, organize, and plan production runs, assuring maximum productivity for labor usage, material usage and minimize scrap. *Track and develop workflows and manpower scheduling to achieve production standards and the schedule *Coordinate tasks between warehouse, planning and quality to achieve desire product *Responsible for the supervision of all employees in the production department including interviewing, hiring, terminating, promoting, employee evaluations, reprimands, and weekly/daily work schedules for the employees in the department. *Responsible for training all production personnel in the department, ensuring that: A. They are properly trained on all procedure and processes critical for cGMP requirements B. They are using safe and proper procedures to operate all machinery. C. They know and understand Company standards of quality and how to produce quality items. D. They adhere to the company policies, including adherence to company hygiene, and uniform requirements *Provide leadership to leads and direct personnel *Develop effective work flows and staffing while managing between employee and temporary staff *Responsible for ensuring that all necessary paper work for production runs are complete on a daily basis. *Responsible for coordinating with the other departments within our manufacturing area to ensure you have sufficient product resources and information to meet production needs *You will be responsible for other assigned tasks by the Director of Operations. *Manage schedule attainment, report attainment daily, report efficiency/productivity. *Assist in training duties *Knowledgeable of Quality practices including inspection levels (AQL C=0) able to grasp, communicate and develop CTQ (critical to quality) standards and practices *Effectively communicate production priorities, quality standards and company policies including enforcement as necessary *Ownership and organization of shift personnel, and schedule attainment. *Responsible for shift's production operations such as: manufacturing and packaging processes, schedule attainment. *Responsible for all daily process related paperwork including tracking and communicating daily efficiencies and results to all levels of the organization. *Respond to technical questions and situations in the manufacturing and packaging processes. *Respond and report any downtime, OEE and work with maintenance for maximum up time and productivity *Communicate and train hourly employees on their job functions, CTQ and lean/ 5S practices. *Able to interact with other departments, as well as participate in development of new products. *Enforce safety regulations with all production employees. *Prepare information and assist in various certification/customer audits. *Follow safety guidelines as well as adhere to related listings in the policy book and hand book. *Maintain and enforce GMP practices, safety and product quality standards. *Must have past experience in Light Industrial environment operating in a multi-production process environment. *Able to comprehend complicated FDA guidelines and manufacturing requirements, processes and procedures *Must have managed/supervised in a regulated industry with large work force *Able to organize staff and materials for daily and weekly schedules *Supervise hourly employees and leads to meet company standards in all areas.. *Knowledgeable of ERP, planning and manpower staffing *Knowledgeable to of "lean" manufacturing and able to develop improvements in existing processes. *Computer and mathematics skills are required. Prior experience with systems tracking of materials is a plus. *Able to make decisions in a fast paced environment/sometimes hectic with minimum guidance from management. *College degree is preferred but prior experience can be substituted *The hours worked each week will be determined by the manufacturing needs of the department. (Salary negotiable based on experience.)
