Manpower has immediate openings for an Inventory Control Specialist in the Dallas area. The shift is Monday through Friday 7AM to 5PM with some overtime possible. The pay rate is $10-$12 an hour depending on experience. This is a temp to hire position with the opportunity to make 32k a year once permanent. Some inventory/warehouse experience is required. Job Responsibilities: Review inventory and utilization reports, research inventory variances, determine causes for variances, gather supporting information and update inventory management systems with corrections. Recommend and implement methods and procedures to minimize waste and avoid future discrepancies. Perform daily activities such as cycle counts, data entry, reconciliation and report preparation. Review reports and supporting documentation for shortages and discrepancies; researches, determine root cause and presents findings to management. Perform the day to day inventory operations of our Dallas warehouse. Responsibilities include stocking, order pulling and clean-up. The ideal candidate is a quick learner who, after a short ramp up period, is productive with little to no supervision. This candidate will gain invaluable experience within the beverage distribution system while working within an operating company during a time of growth. This dynamic role is ideal for a candidate interested logistics, purchasing and/or inventory management control and is seeking to leverage his/her skills. Key Skills: 1.Being able to read and understand number sequences (basic math skills and common sense) 2.Attention to detail 3.Will need to know how to utilize an RF Scan Gun 4.Not afraid of heights. Will go up to 10 feet in air to be able to scan the higher level in the warehouse. 5.Climate controlled environment- some areas are refrigerated. They may prefer to wear a winter coat or jacket. Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 32-50lbs. Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, and stand for the majority of the shift. Must be able to use hand held scanner and process bar codes. Must have efficient data entry skills. Must be able to count, record and verify quantities. Must have strong attention to detail. Must be able to pass background/drug screen.
