Utility Operator "D" - 3rd shift

Qualifications:

• Relevant Mill training and experience.
• Warehouse experience required
• Accurate and detail oriented person possessing reading, writing and mathematical skills at a high school level.
• Forklift certification required.
• Must be able to work 3rd shift.
• Able to pass background and drug screen.
• Able to drive trucks into loading positions and navigate equipment.

Requires physical strength and dexterity to frequently manipulate controls, walk , stand, bend, climb, reach, stoop, twist and lift/ carry 50 to 100 pounds depending on location. Hand coordination to grasp, push, pull and fine manipulation. Vision, hearing and speech essential. Job requires contact with hazardous materials and work in adverse weather conditions.

Job Description:

PURPOSE OF POSITION : Assume full job responsibility of various production operations when needed. “D” Operators are to be considered entry level type positions.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :

1. Utility “D” Operator must be proficient and perform upon request at least one of the following mill operation job assignments. This includes but is not limited to:

• Receiving Operator
• Micro Ingredient Operation
• Sacking Operation
• Bulk Truck Loadout Operation
• Warehouse Operation
• Other Plant Operations as Management Designates

2. Proficiency and performance responsibility includes communication, documentation, efficiency, quality, maintenance, safety and housekeeping requirements of that operation. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed in job functions.

3. Adhere to the SSC Quality Control Program in each job performed. Immediately notify your supervisor or QC Supervisor of any suspected problem with product quality. Review and comply with QC Manual bulletins relative to job functions performed.

4. Clean and maintain equipment and assigned work areas per Housekeeping Plan.

5. Perform assigned preventative maintenance, report equipment maintenance needs and assist maintenance as required.

6. Safely operate so as to not harm equipment, yourself or your fellow employees.

7. Comply with OSHA Regulations, company Safety Rules, Work Rules and policies.

8. Perform overtime and any other duties as assigned.

9. Must be able to work 2nd shift or 3rd shift
