Job Summary
Responsible for partnering with sales to provide technical expertise regarding applications of products/services. Answer questions and highlight how product offerings and services can solve customer problems and create sales opportunities to promote and reinforce the business image as a total solutions provider.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
- Partners with sales to provide technical expertise regarding applications of products and services.
- Manages customer cases on product installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
- Performs equipment commissioning/testing, project engineering/design and engineering product assembly.
- Provides on-going training and support regarding purchased software, application and equipment, prior to and after installation has been completed.
- Conducts presentations for customers and the community to include universities, schools, conferences and meetings on product-related topics.
- Provides customer support to include answering customer questions and addressing concerns. Ensures all cases are resolved or escalated to appropriate resources.
Nature and Scope
- Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information, inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.
- Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by supervisor and/or direct "customers" of the process.
- May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support personnel or professional personnel.
Work Environment
- Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting and maneuvering material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
- Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes, which may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.
- Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be eighteen years of age
- Must pass the Drug Test
- Must pass the Background Check
- Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable
Education and Experience
- Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline. Generally 2-5 years of experience in related field; certification is required in some areas OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in related field. Certification is required in some areas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the METER INDUSTRY preferred.
1. Experience with SQL
Databases and tables.
2. Experience working with computer networks and
servers.
3. Experience using, creating and modifying IP addresses.
4.
Experience with Linux Operating Systems.
5. Experience with Microsoft
Operating Systems.
6. Understanding of Oracle Databases.
7. Experience
with vShare applications.
8. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft
